How WinOnly Works

WinOnly is an analytics and information service. It uses a deterministic, rule-based engine to identify football matches where one team has a clear statistical advantage. This page explains exactly how predictions are generated.

Overview

Each day at 06:00 (Europe/Dublin), WinOnly scans fixtures across 29+ leagues worldwide, including the Premier League, La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A, Ligue 1, Liga Profesional Argentina, Serie A Brazil, J1 League, A-League, and more. For each match, it applies strict filters. Only matches where all criteria are met produce a prediction. A maximum of 10 picks are displayed, ranked by confidence score.

Filter 1: League Position Gap

The selected team must be at least 5 positions higher in the table, or at least 8 points higher.

Filter 2: Recent Form (Last 5 League Matches)

Selected team must have at least 3 wins in last 5. Opponent must have at most 1 win in last 5 (relaxed to 2 for overwhelming gaps).

Filter 3: Defensive Reliability

The selected team must concede 1.5 or fewer goals per match in their last 5 (relaxed to 1.8 for overwhelming gaps).

Filter 4: Home Advantage Bias

Home team is preferred. Away picks only if the away team is top 4 and home team is bottom half.

Confidence Score

Each pick gets a confidence score (0-100) computed from league position gap, points gap, win differential, and defensive record. Only picks scoring 55 or higher qualify.
